Weeks 5
date: 2024-10-28
What we've been doing
- We had our initial meeting with the client.
- Our client is NTTDATA.
- The aim is to create a "Local Community Impact Portal"
- Our aim is to provide local residents and businesses a space to log issues and a centrlaised hub for community members to engage with what's going, share info and propose changes.
Evaluation
- The client clarified what they wanted from us, as the project description was quite vague. We need to build a centralised hub for community members to engage with what's going on, share information and propose changes. The website should allow users to see what events are happening in their local area, and report issues and improvements.
- Two key takeaways were:
- Green Software Practices
- There should be a visibility of the carbon footprint on the site. Our Client liason suggested this Linux course to help us get up to speed:
- Generative AI:
- How can we create new kinds of customer engagement as opposed to traditional designs? It's up to us to brainstorm and figure out possible solutions!
- Green Software Practices
- An example business for us to have a look at was Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust:
What we will be doing
- We will be working on creating our slides for the Human-Computer-Interaction coursework
